Artist Francoise Gilot writes “In doing everything I come across…..it’s not at all tiring. Just the opposite, for me drawing is the most wonderful thing, because it makes me enter semi-consciously into a dream world from which I have difficulty returning.  That’s why its necessary to be surrounded by great calm in order to pass from the everyday world to that perfect state where joy is possible.”

In drawing your variable pressure line contour drawings of objects, you are looking, observing, analyzing proportion, symmetry, shape, form, and looking at lighting, space and using light gestural drawing from basic shapes and then adding variable pressure contour drawings.  We acknowledge the work of Josf Albers for his teaching and  emphasis on variable pressure drawing.
